Alexis Anne Mackenzie’s meticulously crafted, hand-cut collages borrow from vintage photographs of female nudes and natural landscapes, reconstituting found imagery into new scenes of dreamlike, blended realities. Mesmerizing in their precision and intricacy, Mackenzie's images are stately, animalistic, and mythologically divine all at once. She received her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has exhibited broadly across the United States and United Kingdom, including solo shows at Eleanor Harwood Gallery in San Francisco, and at the Voided Archive Gallery in Glasgow.
